I wanted to do a quick post on renting lenses.  This is such a great resource especially if you want to test out a lens before purchasing, or if you need a lens that you will only use in specific situations, aka, long lens for wildlife or a tilt shift lens you just need for an assignment.

Playing around in the studio, so I decided to throw it on both my bodies and compare 😉
Fits the D3000 well!

Personally I just rented my first lens and it has been great.  I used LensProToGo.com but there are others, like the most popular BorrowLenses.  I rented a 70-200mm f2.8 to (1) try out for a possible future purchase, and (2) for two client shoots I have this week.  It has been great having the lens.  The guys at LensProToGo.com got me the lens on the day I asked and even before they shipped it they called to just chat and make sure I was a legit customer.  Nice guys over there, will be renting from them as well in the future.  They ship it in a pelican case and give you the return shipping postage and label with the rental.  Easy as 1, 2, 3!

For any person getting into photography and wanting to see what pro lenses are like or wanting to try out that $2000 14-24mm f2.8 😉 go and rent it.  See if you like it.

But remember always get the insurance 😉
