They may make your lawn look like it is unkempt, but they also are a great photogenic subject especially for macro work. You know what I am talking about, the Dandelion. I love how they look in the right light and up close. I have snapped shots of them often, and in different manners. I wanted to share some of those shots. It’s a little different for me to post some macro work, though only two out of the three were done with a macro, the other was done with a fast prime lens. The only macro I have right now is an old manual Nikkor 55mm f3.5 Micro which works great for what I need it for.
One way to shoot them, backlit by the sun!

The sun light coming from above, shot straight on.
I have seen some amazing macro shots of these plants, and though they can make your yard look not so nice, they are a nice easy to find item to shoot near your home. Now that reminds me, I need to cut the lawn!
